Ryan & Grace

Ryan & Grace~ October 8, 2022

Coastal Rustic Elegance is our take on this beautiful wedding! Our Bride & Groom, Ryan and Grace embraced the nature of our community where the sea meets the land and shared it in their vision. From a variety of Shades of Blue in the fabrics, textures & flowers, to oyster shell and driftwood centerpieces, to a bit of seaside palms fronds in her flowers, and finishing it it all with the classic touches of whites and completed tables, you can see that this wedding is a perfect show of Coastal Rustic Elegance.

Wedding Ceremony

Ryan & Grace chose to have their wedding ceremony in their church in order to have a more traditional ceremony. St. Egberts Catholic Church has been in our coastal community for many years. The church itself is a beautiful place and their wedding inside was gorgeous! Just a few simple flower pieces adorned the pews and the rest of the church was decorated in it's natural state.

Post Wedding Ceremony

We don't normally have to consider this as Butterfly Kisses Pavilion does offer a ceremony space but for weddings that have do have their ceremony off-site.... To allow for the transition to Butterfly Kisses to be seamless, guest were invited to explore the local area of Morehead City, City for a couple of hours while the wedding party and family jumped into their formalities & photos

Wedding Cocktail Hour:

As guest arrive d to the wedding venue they were directed to our beautiful courtyard and greeted with delightful & delicious passed hors d'oeuvres and some libations to get the celebration started. Grace & Ryan had a special wedding guestbook curated for guest to interact with at this time. They had a hardbound photo book created from their engagement photos for guest to sign. This is such a unique idea and a great way to utilize those photos you take. As the guest continued to arrive and socialize the wedding party took some fun photos to celebrate the wedding day!

Reception

Once cocktail hour came to an end, guest entered into our spacious pavilion. Their view from their seats included flower arrangements inside a large seashell oasis, small driftwood pieces, oysters shells bleached to a beautiful white ran along the length of our custom built farmhouse tables, a few coastal white lanterns and a complete table setting. It was show of the true elegance at this event. The shades of blue that were seen in the table linens and the flowers. It was such a perfect way to marry the concept of Coastal Rustic Elegance. The reception started with the traditional parts of a wedding timeline: Grand Entrance followed by a live musician performed First Dance, father daughter dance....but something special happened to the Mother of the groom....a Butterfly came and perched on her head during the cocktail hour and stayed there throughout the entire song. I've never seen anything like it!

Dinner was superb! Guest had volumes of food pairings to fill them up. The cake was perfectly curated to the simple elegance of the wedding and was melt in your mouth delicious . Once dinner was complete everyone let their hair down and jumped on the dance floor to dance the night away.

Sunset at Butterfly Kisses Pavilion....one of my favorite photo times is Sunset! For Ryan and Grace it did not disappoint! IT WAS SPECTACULAR! Being able to sneak off with your most favorite person in the world on your wedding day, doesn't always seem possible. When you hire an amazing photographer and you pair that with a sunset, you find yourself enjoying a moment to yourselves (and with the photographer) that you didn't know would happen like that. You get to take in the beauty all around you and then you get to be apart of that beauty as you are both getting captured in it!

The wedding at Butterfly Kisses Pavilion ended with with one more private moment for the couple, a little special dance while the guest prepared for their sparkler exit. It was fabulous!
